PAWfect SPA is currently expanding to serve our clients better. Our new facility is located at Willowdale Ave. & Sheppard Ave E. in the North York area. Currently, we are recruiting Part Time Grooming Assistant positions and a Part-Time/Full Time Professional Pet Stylist positions.

Job Description

• Perform basic grooming services includes brushing/de-matting, shampoo/conditioning and blow drying of animals
• Follow breed standards or owner’s instruction when trimming, clipping or stripping an animal’s coat
• Complete and file grooming log records for each pet groomed
• Ensure Grooming Salon cleanliness and safety to our standards
• Assist in booking and re-confirming grooming appointments
• Interact with customers to ensure our salon exceeds their expectations
• Explain our grooming services, standard procedures and pet trim styles to our clients
• Support staff in trade shows and other marketing efforts
• Special projects as assigned

Education

• A grooming school diploma or certificate is mandatory (for PetStylist Position)
• A high school diploma or its equivalent is mandatory

Requirements

• Have experience in handling animals
• Respect and have appreciation for pets and their owners
• Have good verbal and written communication skills
• Have good public and personal relations skills
• Have good organizational skills and attention to details
• Socially oriented and enjoy working with people, along with a compassion to animals
• Able to do multiple ongoing tasks simultaneously
• Pleasant personality and capable of working in a team oriented environment
• Have good hygiene and appropriate dress
• Have sufficient physical conditions that would fulfill the successful completion of all duties as necessary
